This young artist was born in Alcalá de Guadaira On August 8, 1946, a beautiful town in the province of Seville, which illustrious poets called "Alcalá Of The Painters".
He made his first artworks at the age of 15, alternating his innate love for painting with his hard struggle for life, which was not showing generous to him at the time.
He began to paint from life focusing on local landscapes, parks, pines and the river, where he spent many hours drawing and painting, therefore not obtaining an academic background. He attended the School Fine Arts And Applied Crafts of Sevilla for a few days only, and was hence recognized as a self-taught painter.
Afterward, he travelled to Barcelona to study one of his favorite painters, Joaquín Mir, who stands out in the field of the Spanish landscape for the original execution of his artwork.
After six months of studying the pictorial oeuvre of Mir, he returned to his birthplace largely influenced by the aforementioned artist.
His hometown, Alcalá, and its landscapes, were his real school, therefore being its rich nature the one which provided him with lively colours and models.
Conversing with me, Recacha proudly confessed that he "followed the footprints of the traditional local landscapers, and he considered himself to be primarily a painter of landscapes”, although he did not forget the depiction of figures and portraits. He proudly explains the secret strengths of "Alcalá Of The Painters," which are its immense light and its colour and land variety, ranging from red to green to yellow. "
Recacha has participated in 18 exhibitions in which he won 12 awards individually. He also exhibited in Seville obtaining great praise from art critics.
