Juan Aráez is a colorist and spontaneous painter, in love with the magic of light. He is the pictorial sense personified; he is a born landscaper, and knows how to capture the most difficult topic with the ease of proficient technique and expression.
Everything he depicts is full of fluency; for him, painting is breathing, it is something vital. And this is the difficult part; Being able to express that, is beyond the reach of many. He is an agile and harmonic artist and an expert in the drawing field, whose main lines are diluted in his well combined chromaticism. The result is a work that conveys excitement to record the reality.
