Valdivia presents to us a simple work like the color range that he uses, beautiful and romantic as the landscape depicted in his canvases.
His paintings are invitations to a poetic look, to getting lost in the wise and infinite horizon of La Mancha fields, suffocated by the sun, colored by the passionate poppies, adorned by the sunflowers. He finds the mark of Don Quixote in the villas and mansions that appear in the middle of the landscape.
I like how Valdivia combines colors fraught with intense luminosity, how he dominates and extends ochers, his mastery with the wine tones, the harmony that he achieves in each one of his creations.
