Every day I don't paint is a day lost. Painting is not a profession, it is a way of life. Javier Montes is an award-winning artist based in Spain whose paintings have appeared in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationally. Creating thematic series, he cites the atmosphere and space in which we move as what fascinates him most. In his works, Montes more often portrays absence than presence, as well as the traces that people leave behind. Although he uses acrylics, watercolours and pens, he prefers to create with oils.
